Privacy Policy

This policy describes the Northstar Brain Google Drive reference connector, operated by the Northstar team for invited internal users. It does not replace the policies of Google, GitHub or any separately selected AI provider.

Information accessed

With authorization, the connector accesses reference-file contents and metadata such as file names, identifiers, types, sizes, versions, parent folders and sharing permissions. It checks an account permission identifier to validate the dedicated automation identity. It also stores OAuth credentials needed to maintain the authorized connection.

The Google Drive permission requested is not technically limited to one folder. The supported connector operations apply additional folder, identity and privacy checks. Account isolation depends on keeping unrelated data and shares away from the dedicated account.

Purpose and use

Information is used to locate and read approved references, create approved reference files or new versions, verify their contents and permissions, and recover interrupted or repeated operations without unintended duplication. The supported connector does not perform automatic deletion or sharing changes.

Storage and retention

OAuth credentials and the reference-operation journal are stored outside the shared knowledge repository using Windows user-scoped encryption. Downloaded files and approved working material may be retained on operator-controlled computers. Deliberately admitted knowledge may be stored in the private GitHub brain. Drive files remain in their authorized Google Drive locations.

Records and references are retained until the operator removes them or they are no longer needed for the authorized work. Copies in version history and backups may require separate removal. Encryption does not isolate data from every process running as the same Windows user or from system administrators; the operator must protect those devices and accounts.

Disclosure and AI processing

Data is available to authorized operators and the storage or processing services necessary for the work they authorize. It is not sold or used for advertising. The connector itself does not call an AI model. If an operator authorizes reference content to be processed by a separate AI service, the operator must first ensure that the service's terms and settings comply with Google's Limited Use requirements. Google API data must not be used to train or improve generalized artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.

Northstar Brain's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Your choices and deletion requests

You can stop using the connector and revoke its Google access through your Google Account's third-party connections settings. Revocation prevents future authorized API access but does not automatically erase previously saved files, journals, copies or Git history. Contact the operator to request review or deletion of retained material. Do not send passwords, OAuth tokens or other secrets with a request.

These pages contain no app login, analytics scripts or tracking cookies added by Northstar. The hosting provider may process ordinary web-request information under its own policies. No private workspace or Drive files are published here.

Contact and changes

Contact your Northstar administrator using the user-support email shown on the app's Google consent screen. Material changes to data access or use require an updated policy and renewed consent where applicable. The policy version published here describes the current authorized connector use.
